Online Gaming Site Lets Players Bet On Skill Gaming
A new online website called BringIt gives United States players a chance to make wagers and it is legal. The site is legal because it is not considered online gambling. The site gives players the opportunity to challenge other gamers for money in video games. The site is not illegal because the players are wagering on their skill of the games. The site is set to move from beta testing to the real online version over the next few days. Players can sign up for free but must be at least 18 years of age. BringIt makes their cut by earning 10% from the wagers and a $4 fee from winners when they withdraw their earnings.
Woody Levin the CEO and Founder of BringIt stated the site is not really for ‘hardcore crazy gamers’ its more for those who want to ‘put their money where their mouth is, a little bit’. Players usually play for small amounts of cash like $5 to $10 to see who is better skilled at the game.
PlayStation 2, PS3, Xbox360 and the Wii are supported by BringIt and players can challenge each other to games on their systems and play it on their console. BringIt will hold the entry fees until he game is over and they will verify the results and credit the winner.
