Ewa Mataya Laurance wins WPBA MastersThe WPBA Masters took place just a few days ago at the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort and it was Allison Fisher and Ewa Mataya Laurance who made it to the finals of the competition. It was a close race but in the end it was Laurance who was able to come up with the first place win. (31/01)
Players getting ready to compete in 37th National Snooker Championship
The 37th National Snooker Championship will begin today and those who make it to the finals will move on to compete in the 28th Asian Snooker Championship this April. The Asian Snooker Championship will take place in Qatar and the top cueists from Pakistan will be competing in the event. (31/01)
Derby City Banks Billiards title goes to John Morra
The Horseshoe Casino in Elizabeth, Indiana played host to the Derby City Banks billiards tournament and it was an amazing turnout of 404 players. In the end it was John Morra of Canada who earned the victory after taking down Shane Van Boening in the finals. (26/01)
World Snooker adds sponsors to major tour events
World Snooker is the cream of the crop when it comes to snooker events. Players dream and fight to be able to compete in a World Snooker event. Neil Robertson wins Masters Competition
Neil Robertson has won his first Masters Championship title after besting Shaun Murphy in the finals of the competition with a score of 10-6. Robertson played well in the competition and just added another win to his long list of wins. The snooker pro earned £150,000 for his efforts. (24/01)
Jorge Rodriguez wins Predator Tour Event
On January 14th and 15th Steinway Billiards in Astoria, New York hosted a Predator Tour event. The $500 added Open/Pro event had twenty one players competing and it was Jorge Rodriguez who won the event after taking down Jennifer Barretta in the finals. (24/01)

Ronnie O’Sullivan is a big star in the game of snooker and he has been very open with his thoughts on the game, as well as commenting on those in the industry. O’Sullivan has now come forward and stated that he has decided that he will be playing the game of snooker on his own terms. (17/01)
B.J. Ussery wins Great Southern Billiard Tour Stop
B.J. Ussery has been a top competitor on the Great Southern Billiard Tour, taking down wins and remaining undefeated in many of the events. Ussery competed in the recent tour stop which took place at Brown’s Billiards in Raleigh, North California and managed to come out the victor yet again. (17/01)
AI First Place Prize goes to Computerized Backgammon Game
Back in November, the Olympic Games of game programs or as it is otherwise known the Competition for computerized table games took place in Tillburk, Holland. The event took place from the 18th to the 26th and it was a computerized backgammon game which won the first prize in the Artificial Intelligence category. (13/01)
BCAPL National Championships makes changes
The BCAPL National Championships are set to take place in May and it has now been announced that major changes have been made about the event. CueSports International and Mark Griffin have announced that the tournament will change venues as well as time frame for the year 2013. (12/01)
Twitter proves problematic for snooker pro Mark Williams
Former number one snooker pro Mark Williams is in hot water after making certain remarks on his Twitter account. Jeremy Sossei wins Joss Northeast 9-ball Tour stop
The Joss Northeast 9-Ball Tour is back in 2012 and the first stop on the tour for the New Year took place at Fast Eddie’s Billiards in Connecticut. The event took place on January 7th to the 8th and had a $2,000 added prize purse for players to share. The event saw fifty seven players registering to compete and it was Jeremy Sossei who earned the first place win. (10/01)
Embassy Club to host National Snooker Championship
The 2012 United States National Snooker Championship is set to take place from May 25th to the 27th and the United States Snooker Association has announced that the Embassy Billiards Club will be hosting the event. The Club is located in San Gabriel, California and has been a popular host for the tour. (10/01)

Snooker star Judd Trump has been on a roll for weeks now. The young snooker player won the China Open a few months ago and then finished runner up in the World Championship in Sheffield. The Women’s Professional Billiard Association has announced that the 2012 Women’s Pro Billiard Tour season will kick off at the end of January with the WPBA Masters 9-Ball Championship. The event will take place on January 26th to the 29th and the best female billiards players will descend on the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort to compete. (03/01)
Corey Morphew wins Great Southern Billiard Tour Stop
The Great Southern Billiard Tour stopped in Bristol, Tennessee on February 26th and 27th to host a $1,500 added event. The tour stop saw sixty two amateur players register to compete and in the end it was Corey Morphew who was able to take down Russ Edwards in the finals to earn the first place win. (03/01)
