The Mahjong Club has announced they are getting ready for their first set of tournament qualifiers for the 2010 World Series of Mahjong. Jadestone Inks another Skill Games Deal
Jadestone Networks operates the Arena multiplayer gaming network which includes skill gaming. The company recently announced they have signed a deal with Bwin’s Italian subsidiary Gioco Digitale. Large Group of people arrested for illegal mahjong gambling
Thirty four people were indicted Wednesday morning for illegal gambling on Taipei’s Hankou Street. The police arrested the gamblers at a rented mahjong venue and took a total of NT$111,320 which was NT$76,320 in gambling money and NT$35,000 in profit. (19/03)

Man in jail over mahjong game found dead
Zhou Lingguang was taken into custody last summer for playing mahjong, which can sometimes be considered an illegal activity in South China. The man was sentenced to one year in jail but was found dead this past Monday. (11/03)
