Snooker must cut back on bathroom breaksThe new boss of World Snooker, Barry Hearn, has been told that the sport needs to change the amount of bathroom breaks a player is allowed to take during a tournament. Apparently players are going to the bathroom too much and it is distracting as well as interrupting televised events. (31/12)
Dave Shlemperis Wins Holiday Tri-State Stop
The Tri-State Tour stopped on December 26th for a $500 added holiday tournament at Castle Billiards in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The tournament saw forty one players competing and Dave Shlemperis was able to come back from a late loss to win the tournament. (31/12)
Aditya Mehta wins VIP Matrix All-India Invitational Snooker tournament
Aditya Mehta outlasted the competition in the VIP Matrix All-Indian Invitational Snooker tournament to win the event. Mehta had to beat Saurav Kothari in the finals to claim the win and he did so with a score of 7-3. (29/12)
WPA to Host World 9-Ball Championship in June 2010
The World Pool-Billiard Association (WPA) recently announced that they will be hosting the World 9-Ball championship in Doha, Qatar. The event will begin on June 25th and continue until July 5, 2010. Qualifiers will take place from the 25th of June to the 27th and the main event will begin on June 28th. (29/12)
Record Number to Participate in 2010 Invitational U-17 snooker open
Twenty participants from ten European Countries are going to be competing in the 2010 Invitational U-17 Snooker Open. The Open is set to take place on January 3rd through the 10th at the Apple Snooker Club in Bugibba and the Jesmond Sporting Club in Hamrun. This is a record number for the event and much anticipation is surrounding the tournament. (24/12)

Mahjong Wall was released by Russell Wilson yesterday for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch. The new game is based on Wilson’s original Chinese tile game Mah Jongg Wall. The new game was modified to give cell phone users the ability to play for shorter periods but still provide the same entertainment as a longer game. (23/12)
Mike Dunklin Wins Lucasi Billiard Competition
On December 19th the Lucasi Hybrid All-American Tour stopped at Ride the Nine in Bloomington, Illinois to host a $500 added event. the tournament had a nineteen player field and was a double elimination 8-ball format on 7-foot Valley bar boxes. Mike Dunklin was able to outlast Scott Boyd in the finals to take down the win. (22/12)
Snooker schedule announced for Pakistan players
The 2010 schedule for Pakistan cueists has been released by the Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association and they have listed twelve tournaments on the schedule. The PBSA executive committee approved the schedule and it is comprised of six international events and six domestic events. (22/12)
Shaun Wilkie Wins Predator Finale
The 2009 season of the Predator 9-Ball Tour has come to an end this past weekend as ninety two players registered to compete. The tournament saw the best of the best turn up to compete for the win. The tournament took place at the Raxx Pool Room in West Hempstead, New York as a $3,000 added event. (18/12)

8th Annual Desert Classic Tournament Coming This February
The Gin Rummy Association has announced the 8th Annual Desert Classic Tournament is scheduled for this February. Working with GameColony, an online gaming site, the Gin Rummy Association has been inviting gin players to compete in the three day event. (14/12)
Adam Ellis Wins Derby City Classic Entries
It has been ten weeks of competition in the Viper’s “15-Rack” 10-ball leagues but the competition is finally over. Adam Ellis has come out on top of the competition earning 955 points and the top spot of the tournament. The event only drew 23 players as the Crimson Tide had just won the SEC championship game and Alabamians were still celebrating. The Annual Turkey Shoot by the Lucasi Hybrid All-American Tour took place Thanksgiving weekend in Fort Collins, Colorado at Match-ups billiard hall. The tournament saw sixty four players competing in the $1,000 added event and it was Tony Piazza who earned the win. (04/12)
Pakistan will not host Asian U-21 Snooker Championship
It was recently announced that Pakistan will not be hosting the Asian U-21 Snooker Championship due to security concerns. The event was scheduled for April of next year but the event will now be held in the Indian city of Indore. (04/12)
WiiWare Launching Mahjong This Friday
This Friday Wii players in Europe will be able to enjoy Mahjong via WiiWare. The new game is being launched by GameOn this Friday and it is expected to be very popular.
