Fast Eddie’s Olhausen 9-ball Tour made its tenth stop of the tour at Fast Eddie’s Billiards in Houston, Texas this past weekend for a $1,000 added event. the stop saw forty seven players competing and it was Andy Jethwa who managed to remain undefeated throughout the competition to take the first place win. Pool Pros to Compete in $5,000 Challenge
Efren Reyes and Earl Strickland have been rivals for a long time in the billiards game. It was recently announced by Taylor Road Productions that the two will be competing in a $5,000 challenge match on September 13th at 8pm. the match is the first of a series of challenges to take place with the Galveston World Classic. Trivial Technology is a developer of card and board game applications for the iPhone and the iPod touch. They recently announced the release of a new backgammon application called Backgammon Lite 1.5.0. Nintendo Wii to Release World Snooker Game
If you have never played on a Nintendo Wii system you are really missing out. The Wii lets people experience console gaming on a whole other level as players are able to interact with the game by using the special controller called a nun chuck and the wii remote. Recently an announcement was made that a new game is about to release on the wii called World Snooker Championship Real 09 which will give snooker players a chance to experience their favorite game in video form. One of the largest online skill gaming companies is called King and they recently announced they are releasing games for the iPhone and Facebook, the first time the company has done so. Alexandria Bay Backgammon Tournament a Big Hit
The Thousand Islands Backgammon Tournament has been taking place for many years now in Alexandria Bay. This year’s tournament has been very successful as it took place over the first weekend of August. The tournament was held at the Pine Tree Point Resort and the Resort will serve as the location for next year’s tournament. (03/08)
